Folder printing questions

How much do custom presentation folders cost?
Presentation folders start at $784 for 100 and the per-unit price falls sharply with volume, down to well under half that per folder at 2,500. This is the highest-value print item we produce and the per-unit curve is steep, so check the figure on each quantity tile.
Do they have a business card slot?
Yes, a die-cut slot in the right pocket as standard, sized for a standard 3.5 x 2 inch card. There is no extra charge for it.
Do they arrive assembled?
They arrive flat, die-cut, scored and glued, and assemble in a few seconds by folding along the scores. Shipping flat also means they store flat until you need them.
Can I print the inside?
Yes, at no extra charge, and most people forget to. The inside is a good place for a capability list, contact details or a short note. A blank inside is a wasted surface.
Which paper weight should I choose?
Standard holds a full proposal comfortably and suits volume. Premium is more rigid, holds its shape when full and takes a sharper crease. If the folder is carrying a high-value quote, the cost difference is trivial against the deal.
Can I get the die template?
Yes, ask and we will send it before you design. This is the one product where designing without the template reliably costs you a round of revisions.
What file format should I send?
A print-ready PDF at 300 DPI in CMYK with 0.125 inch bleed, built on our die template. We also accept AI. A Print Concierge checks it against the actual die line and scores before printing.
Where do you ship folders?
Anywhere in the United States. We print in Florida and ship nationwide, free on orders over $120.

01

Printed by people, not machines

A presentation folder is the most structurally complex thing on this site. It is printed flat, then die-cut, scored and glued, which means the artwork has to be built on a template where the pockets and the glue tabs are not where the flat rectangle suggests. A dedicated Print Concierge checks your file against the actual die line before anything prints: whether the design survives the fold, whether a logo lands on a glue tab where it will be hidden, and whether the background runs past every cut edge. On a run at this price, catching that before press is the difference between a delivery and a reprint.

02

Where a folder actually earns its cost

Folders are the most expensive thing per unit we print, and the temptation is to treat that as overhead. It is not. A folder is used at exactly one moment: when a proposal, a quote or an onboarding pack is handed across a table or arrives in the post. That is the moment the customer decides whether you are a serious operation. Loose stapled sheets say one thing and a printed folder says another, and the difference costs a few dollars on a deal worth thousands. This is why folders are ordered by law firms, agencies, contractors quoting large jobs, and anyone whose sale involves a document the buyer takes away and reads later.

03

Choosing your paper weight

Both options are heavier than anything else we print, because a folder has to hold a stack of paper without sagging when it is picked up by one edge.

  • Standard thickness: holds a full proposal comfortably and is the right choice for volume, onboarding packs and anything you hand out regularly.
  • Premium thickness: noticeably more rigid, holds its shape when full, and takes a sharper crease on the score lines. Worth it for high-value proposals and anything a client keeps on a shelf.

If the folder is going out with a five-figure quote, take the premium. The cost difference is trivial against the deal.

04

Getting your artwork print-ready

Request the die template before you start. This is the one product where designing without it wastes a full round of revisions.

  • Send a print-ready PDF at 300 DPI in CMYK with 0.125 inch bleed on every edge, including around the pocket cuts.
  • Keep text and logos at least 0.25 inch inside all trim and score lines. A design that crosses a score will crack along the fold.
  • The glue tabs are covered when assembled. Nothing important goes there.
  • Printing the inside is free. Most people leave it blank and it is a wasted surface for capability lists or contact details.
05

Need a folder designed?

Choose Design it for me and our professional design team will build your presentation folder for $75, laid out on the correct die template with the pockets and scores accounted for, and hand back a print-ready file you own outright. Folders are usually ordered with letterhead and business cards so the whole pack matches.

06

Printing and delivery

Folders take longer than flat print because they are die-cut, scored and glued after printing. The arrival estimate at the top of this page reflects that and updates live as you configure. They ship flat and assemble in seconds, which also means they store flat until you need them. Shipping is free over $120, which every folder order clears comfortably.
